Pathfinder - Carrion Crown

Will and Testament

Episode 1

The heroes meet for the first time and learn of Professor Lomminor’s Will….

Having arrived at Ravegro, the heroes have realised that not all is it would seem in the small hamlet. After being confronted by thugs at the funeral of their late friend Professor Lorrimor, the plot thickened when the heroes were given custody of three rare and mysterious books, and the Professor’s journal. Contained within its pages were clues to what has been happening in Ravengro over the past few years, in particular the last few months.

Their investigations lead them into an old false crypt which contained unusual devices along with a small cache of magical equipment to help them on their quest. Having battle a couple of Giant Centipedes who has taken up residence in the crypt, the heroes returned to the home of Professor Lorrimor’s daughter Kendra to discuss what they had learned.

The following morning they were awoken to a strange happening in the town square. Upon entering the square, the heroes are confronted with quiet whispers and accusations toward them. Splattered across the town monument, a statue dedicated to the people who died attempting to save the Harrowstone prison was the letter V. What was worse, was that the letter was written in blood…

Adventure Summary - Prologue
Letter from Kendra Lorrimor

Dear Friend,

I hope this letter finds you well.
It is with great regret that I must advise you of the passing of my father, Professor Petros Lorrimor. I have been tasked by Councilman Vashian Hearthmount, the executor of my father’s will, to summon you as you have been named in that document.
This came as a great surprise to me, never having met you, however if my father held you in high esteem enough to be a beneficiary of his estate, then I can only assume you must be of good character. Consequently I hereby extend an invitation to you to stay at my home in Ravengro while you attend the funeral and subsequent reading of the will. It is the least that I can offer in these sad times.
I have made arrangements for the funeral to occur on the 12th day of Rova 4711 and that the reading of my father’s final Will and Testament will occur later that afternoon. I look forward to meeting you and hearing stories of my father’s exploits.
Yours sincerely,

Kendra Lorrimor
